Thanksgiving!!!

So we had an awesome Thanksgiving this year, just like every year.. I really love Thanksgiving, aside from all the amazing food you get to stuff your face with, it is such a great time to be with family and really think about the things you are grateful for and are so blessed to have.

My mom set the table so pretty, we pulled out the fine china and the fancy glasses.. it looked so beautiful..

We were kind of small this year at the Allred house, this year we were with my mom's side and there were just a few of us but we sure had some awesome food..

So we all know about the day after Thanksgiving sales, I don't know about any of you, but I sure couldn't go out in all that madness.. But my dad's store has some pretty good deals, he sends out the flyer in the newspaper and we get a pretty good line that morning, it is a lot of fun and pretty crazy.. Unfortunately this year there was a mix up and my dad's flyer didn't get in the newspaper... He had lots of merchandise that was going to sit at the store if no body knew what there was, so my wonderful Aunt called my dad Thursday morning and said rally up the troops and we will deliver those by hand. Well point of the story a lot of people showed up to help and we were able to get quite a few flyers out and my dad had a successful day.. I am so grateful for family and there willingness to help and be there. I have been blessed with such wonderful people in my life and am so thankful for all they do...

HA HA it was a little early, and they got a hold of my camera... Love these two!!

We really had a wonderful day and are grateful for all those that helped.. It is good to know there are still great people in this world..

Hanging with our Pals!!

A few weeks ago we went up to my parent's cabin with a few friends just to hang out and have a good time.. We had and intense ping pong tournament and played some cards and then just hung out talked, and finally made our way back home. We had a blast.... Thanks Steve, Kari, and Ryan for coming with us..

Steve wanted to make sure we could all see him so he put this nice orange vest. He was hard to miss.

Of course Duke came along...

Yeah I pretty much suck at ping pong and was laughing everytime I hit the ball.

Kari looks pretty in to the game... she so wanted to win..

Nice forehand Bren... What great form he has..

Yeah Ry was pretty much posing for this picture.. It is obvious...

Having to relax in between matches...

Steve gets a little excited about ping pong...

Playng an intense game of Scum... Me an Bren always lose at that game... We hate it.. One day we will get them...

An Intense Game of Tag

I have been tagged by my good buddy Misty. For those of you I tag, you have to STOP what you're doing, take pictures of the following things, and answer the listed questions NOW!!! Kitchen sink, closet, laundry room, fridge, bathroom, favorite room, favorite shoes, what your kids are doing right now (if you have kids), self portrait, dream vacation, and 6 quirks about yourself. Have FUN!
MY KITCHEN SINK
Yay, I got caught on a lucky day where dishes are done....
MY CLOSET
This is my teeny tiny closet... Those are just my clothes, Bren has to put his clothes in the other bedroom's closet because there is no way they would fit in one... At least he is a handy man and made more space for me in mine... It used to be just one bar to hang clothes on. That was fun..

MY LAUNDRY ROOM

So our house is really old and the washer and dryer don't sit next to each other.. the dryer actually sits in front of a door that is never used.

MY REFRIGERATOR

Here's the fridge... it is looking pretty bare I need to get to the grocery store..

MY BATHROOM

Itty bitty little bathroom. definitely wish it was bigger.

MY FAVORITE ROOM

I love the family room it is where we always hang out.

MY FAVORITE SHOES
I love these shoes!!

WHAT MY KID IS UP TO

Well this is my kid.. I know I am lame..

SELF PORTRAIT

MY DREAM VACATION:

My dream vacation is anywhere that is nice and warm with a beach and the warm ocean... I would love to go somewhere exotic like Tahiti or some hidden island that no one knows about.

6 QUIRKS ABOUT ME:

1: I am terribly afraid of spiders... anytime there is one in the house I start freaking out, especially when Bren isn't home to kill it.

2: I hate getting out of the shower before I have dried off... I will pull my towel in and dry off before I open the shower curtain.. I hate the cold air on me when I am still soaking wet..

3: I am a super picky eater and am not willing to try things.. so I could like them, but I just can not convince myself to try things..

4: I love working with numbers.. Good thing I work at a bank..

5: I am a priss....

6: I hate salads and most vegetables, but sometimes at resturaunts I just wish I could order a salad...

I am tagging Sam, Kari, and Tiff... Have fun ladies!!

Slacking!!!!

Wow it has been a long time since I posted anything.... Well I have a little catching up to do. At the beginning of last month we went to Pismo Beach, California with my family.. We hung out at the beach, played tennis, went shopping Bren of course played some golf and we just had an awesome time relaxing and having fun.....

So pretty much the greatest book ever... Breaking Dawn (that's right we are all vampire lovers) came out right before we left... so a lot of our vaction was spent like this.. but what more could I ask for, a good book and the beach, now that is life..

Us on the beautiful beach, it was so amazing... I need to live by the ocean...
We played a game where you had to spin around 10 times and walk to your partner while keeping the balloon in the air... it was pretty funny..

Avery's new trick... She is so tough and so stinking cute..
We buried her in the sand so she could sit up and look around, but it just made it easier for her to put sand in her mouth.

Katie being a true beach bum and playing her guitar on the beach.. love that girl!!

The cute parents!!
We had fun burying all the little cousins in the sand!!

Well that is all I have time for tonight.... more to come soon..

We love Lake Powell!!

We were lucky enough to go to Lake Powell this year on Bren's mom's friend's houseboat. We had such a good time. We only went for three days, but it was so worth it. We will always take every chance we can get to go play in that amazing water. It was absolutely beautiful....

We got to stay on the most amazing houseboat. When I walked inside I was speechless, it was so awesome.. It was a million times nicer than my own house. It had 5 bedrooms, and we were lucky enough to have one to ourselves.. It was like staying in a nice hotel suite on water. It was so much fun.
Here is Bren hiding behind all the cereal boxes.. This is the kitchen on the houseboat, you can imagine what the rest of it looks like..

Well we had a blast and want to thank Leslee for inviting us to come, we had so much fun and can't wait to go again!!
